New edition „Die Magie des Goldes – Goldtherapie für Hund, Pferd und Mensch“ (The Magic of Gold – Gold Therapy for Dogs, Horses and Humans) (in German)

In the 6th revised edition 2022 of his book, the veterinarian Ralf Schweda gives for the first time a comprehensive insight into the therapy and application areas common in Europe for dogs, horses and humans.

The most common orthopedic diseases of dogs, horses and humans are discussed in great detail and extensively documented using numerous colour and black-and-white photographs.

Ralf Schweda was the first German vet to use gold implantation and is an internationally recognized expert on this method in animals.

Interview with Dr. Hans Kryger Kjerkegaard in “plusMagazin” and “Frau im Leben” (Woman in Life)

Interview with Anke Faust, published in August 2014. Dr. Kjerkegaard reports on the beginnings of gold implantation and his almost 20 years of experience of it: “In my opinion, even the most worn-out joint is still better than a prosthesis if it is free of pain.”

Ärzteblatt Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 6/2013

Report on our initiative in the Ärzteblatt Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and commentary by Prof. Dr. Wolfram Mittelmeier. Prof. Mittelmeier shows himself very convinced by endoprosthetics and is still cautious with respect to gold implantation. At the same time, he admits: “Gold is by no means new in rheumatology as a pharmaceutical basic medication, indeed it is tried and trusted. So, it is conceivable that gold can have a certain effect when applied locally.” Like us in the Ackermann Team, he urges for further studies on the effect of gold implantation..

DIE WELT: Gold as medicine

“Only now can scientists explain without doubt why the mystical metal is actually able to cure diseases. In tiny doses, gold has a regulating influence on the human immune system – this is the conclusion reached by Swedish and US-American researchers.”

“Thanks to recent insights from Sweden, the effect of the noble metal may indeed become significantly better controllable for physicians. Are golden days dawning for patients?”

Gorm Danscher explains anti-inflammatory effect of gold

Gorm Danscher is Professor Emeritus of Neurobiology at Aarhus University, Denmark. The emphasis of his research was on the biological effects of heavy metals.

Prof. Danscher explains in an interview published in 2017 how fine gold works in organisms in an anti-inflammatory manner and reduces swellings. He was able to establish that the small gold particles are attacked by macrophages and that in the process gold ions are released from the surface of the small gold implants. The gold ions thus released in a biological way diffuse from the surface and are taken up by the surrounding macrophages, particularly by mast cells.

It is above all the mast cells that are responsible for the swelling so characteristic of rheumatic joints. Expressed simply, one can say that macrophages are the key cells in the inflammatory cascade and mast cells are responsible for swelling. The flooding of biologically released gold ions leads to the suppression of the local inflammation observed and to the reduction of the swelling, which can relieve or remove pain.

By means of his studies Prof. Danscher proved that gold is not inert [reacts little], as hitherto supposed, in fact gold is dissolved slowly when it is introduced into a living organism.

This process is fundamental for the anti-inflammatory effect of gold implantation in humans.

We offer an excerpt from the interview here .
